The havanese dog is amoung the group of dogs known for barking, but breeders say they can be taught not to.
They live for 14-15 years on the average and may be prone to PRA, cataracts, luxating patellas, poodle eye and dry skin. Some dogs are said to be great barkers, yet owners can easily teach them no to do so.
